Job summary

The West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is seeking an Income Certification Specialist to ensure compliance with external funders and regulators, safeguarding assets and income streams while maintaining high standards.

This full-time, on-site role reports to the Property Manager and supports the Asset Management Team with annual recertifications, rent processing in RealPage, and maintenance of tenant and compliance records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the annual compliance recertification, monitoring deadlines and requirements to deliver certification in a timely, thorough, quality manner.
• Act as liaison regarding compliance and regulatory program standards and requirements; programs include HPD, Section 8 / Affordable Housing, LIHTC, NYCHA, Fair Housing, HPD Regulatory guidelines
• Decipher and communicate updates and requirements of related programs; help identify and implement training; stay abreast of industry changes that impact WSFSSH's projects/assets
• Process rent bills and receipts in RealPage; process rent payments in a timely manner
• Oversee and ensure quality control of Master Files related to tenant and compliance records
• Draft correspondence concerning building management, compliance, certification, subsidy, and other matters
• Serve as Leasing and Compliance team’s primary source for tenant ledgers, income limits, maximum rents, and other compliance parameters
• Review, approve, and resolve issues regarding rent rolls, TICs/recertification packages; assist in audit prep and data reports
• Be proficient in RealPage Affordable system; assist Assistant Manager and Property Manager with daily operations
• Support and train building staff in safeguarding and preserving WSFSSH assets
