Job summary

CSFCO seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Quality Control Inspector for a full-time, on-site role on an industrial construction project. You will enforce the Contractor's QC program, perform I&E inspections, coordinate testing, and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and codes.

This position is dedicated solely to QC, with no production or supervisory duties, and requires on-site field inspections across active industrial areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with PE registration and 2+ years of related engineering or construction experience.
• Five years of field experience supervising electrical construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated on-site I&E QC Inspector.
• Implement and maintain compliance with the QC Program and project requirements.
• Perform inspections of instrumentation and electrical installations to verify compliance with drawings, specs, codes, and standards.
• Inspect electrical installations including conduit, cable trays, wiring, grounding, equipment, panels, and components.
• Inspect instrumentation installations including field instruments, transmitters, control valves, tubing, supports, and wiring.
• Review drawings, P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and project specs.
• Coordinate, witness, and document inspections and testing (continuity, insulation, grounding, calibration, loop checks).
• Verify calibration records, equipment certifications, and testing docs.
• Review ITPs, installation procedures, and quality docs.
• Submit daily QC reports and related quality documentation.
• Identify, document, and track nonconforming work and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with construction, management, engineering, and QC representatives.
• Participate in audits, walkdowns, punch lists, and turnover activities.
• Ensure inspections, testing, and docs are completed before acceptance of installed work.
