Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based HVAC service technician to join our team. The role covers commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing and starting up HVAC systems at commercial customer sites.

You will use blueprints/engineering specifications, hand-tools and software to diagnose issues, and will collaborate with customers and project leaders to meet on-site needs. A high school diploma and 0–2 years in HVAC are typical; EPA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; typically 0–2 years of HVAC experience.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working proficiency with handheld devices.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with clean record.
• EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with team leader/project manager and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Represents the company as the direct customer contact and responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Uses software and technology, along with hand-tools, to diagnose and repair units.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
• Enforces safety standards and maintains asset security and accountability.
