Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HV construction and operations, located on-site in Bakersfield, CA or Los Banos, CA with travel. You will assist in coordinating engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure safe, on-time project execution.

Responsibilities include budget preparation, RFI management, kickoff and coordination meetings, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in energized substations.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years in design or construction of power substations.
• PMP certification or relevant industry experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Proficient with office practices and equipment.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• P6 scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all Project Engineer responsibilities to drive project success.
• Review PPA, interconnection agreements, and requirements for compliance.
• Prepare HV budgets and forecasts; manage subcontractor scopes with PM.
• Oversee HV subcontractors' billings, RFIs, status reports, and risks.
• Lead kickoff meetings and coordinate with utility and owner teams.
• Ensure safety practices in energized substations and project sites.
• Maintain project schedule and scope review meetings; manage punchlists.
