Job summary

SOLVE Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HV construction and operation on a full-time basis. The role is located on-site in Bakersfield or Los Banos, CA with travel as needed.

You will assist with budgets, subcontractor scopes, RFI management, and coordination with engineering teams to ensure safe, on-time project completion. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of work experience in design and/or construction of power substations.
• PMP certification or direct relevant industry experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations.
• Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with office practices, procedures and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate.
• P6 scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate all Project Engineer responsibilities to achieve project success.
• Review Power Purchase Agreements, interconnection requirements and related contracts to ensure project compliance.
• Assist in preparing HV budgets and forecasts.
• Develop subcontractor scopes of work and support subcontracting efforts with PM.
• Manage HV subcontractors (billings, RFIs, status reports, risk).
• Handle HV scope change management and meetings (Kick-Off, status, reviews).
• Participate in utility, owner, SE team and procurement coordination meetings.
