Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HV construction/operation, ensuring successful project execution. The role is based on a jobsite in Texas or Denver, CO with required travel.

The position emphasizes coordination across engineering, procurement, and field teams to meet safety and schedule goals. Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in substation design/construction, strong English communication, and experience with P6 scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of work related experience in design and/or construction of power substations.
• PMP certification, or direct relevant industry experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
• P6 scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate Project Engineer responsibilities to achieve project success.
• Review PPA, interconnection agreements, utility requirements to ensure project compliance.
• Assist in preparing HV budgets and forecasts.
• Develop subcontractor scopes of work and support subcontracting efforts with PM.
• Manage HV subcontractors (billings, RFIs, status reports, risk).
• HV scope change management and procurement support.
• Participate in Kick-Off, Utility and Owner coordination meetings.
• Participate in SE Team meetings and material procurement review.
• Lead schedule and scope review meetings; on-site kick-off.
• Support on-site construction, safety practices for energized substations.
• Travel locally and interstate as required.
