Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to provide comprehensive support for HV construction and operation on a full-time jobsite in Texas or Denver. The role requires coordination across engineering, procurement, and field teams to ensure successful project execution and safety on energized substations.

You will review contracts and interconnection requirements, help prepare budgets, manage subcontractors, and participate in kick-off and coordination meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of work related experience in design and/or construction of power substations.
• PMP certification, or direct relevant industry experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations.
• Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with office practices, procedures and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate.
• P6 scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate Project Engineer responsibilities to achieve project success.
• Review Power Purchase Agreements, Interconnection requirements and related documents for compliance.
• Assist in preparing HV budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and manage subcontractor scopes of work and support subcontracting efforts.
• Oversee HV subcontractors: billings, RFIs, status reports, risk.
• Manage scope changes and lead Kick-Off meetings on-site.
• Coordinate RFIs and participate in Utility/Owner/Senior team meetings.
• Support material procurement and ensure safe work practices in energized substations.
• Travel locally and inter-state as required.
