Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Manager to lead HV substation construction, testing, and energization across nationwide projects. You will drive design reviews, procurement, safety, and coordination with utilities, EPC partners, and internal teams.

This remote role requires strong leadership, budget and schedule control, and risk management. Travel to project sites and vendor facilities worldwide is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of HV substation design, construction, or commissioning experience.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary substation projects through full lifecycle.
• Familiarity with transformers, breakers, grounding, protection & control, relays, SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Execute all responsibilities of a Project Engineer with focus on substation design, construction, testing, energization.
• Review interconnection and contract documents to ensure compliance with substation scope.
• Oversee LNTP and early-stage deliverables for HV/substation workstreams and timelines.
• Develop, manage and track substation budget and procurement of long-lead equipment.
• Lead subcontractors, including RFI coordination, change orders, and safety performance.
• Coordinate utility coordination meetings on relay settings, testing protocols, and interconnection.
• Manage final completion punchlists and ensure proper documentation (redlines, test reports, as-builts).
