Job summary

Silvi Materials seeks an HR Business Partner to lead day-to-day HR for its North Carolina operation (≈125 employees). The role is on-site, visible to plant crews and office staff, and requires coaching supervisors and ensuring NC and federal compliance.

The HRBP reports to the PA-based HR Director and handles onboarding, timekeeping, leaves, payroll coordination, and employee relations. Occasional travel to PA may occur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years progressive HR generalist or HRBP experience.
• FLSA, FMLA, ADA, I-9/E-Verify, NC employment law knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with timekeeping, payroll support, and HRIS.
• Experience handling employee relations issues and workplace investigations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work with plant crews and offices.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR in NC for ~125 employees, on-site presence.
• Manage onboarding, timekeeping, employee questions, leaves, and NC/federal compliance.
• Coach supervisors through people issues; keep PA HR Director informed.
• Coordinate safety orientation and certifications with health/safety & site supervisors.
• Handle employee relations cases, investigations, and outcomes with HR Director.
