Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company in Decatur, AL is seeking a Senior Operations Support Coordinator (Senior HR Coordinator) to recruit hourly manufacturing talent, manage payroll processes, and enhance the employee experience at the Meow Mix plant.

You will partner with plant leadership to drive HR programs, ensure compliance, maintain personnel records, and support engagement events that reinforce our culture at the Decatur site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of HR, payroll, or related administrative experience.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with full-cycle recruiting and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing positions.
• Administer payroll processes and reconcile timekeeping using Workday.
• Support onboarding and new hire orientation.
• Maintain hourly personnel records and documentation.
• Provide HR policy guidance and employee relations support.
• Assist with reporting, audits, and data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to drive culture and engagement.
