Transdev in Salinas, CA is hiring a Payroll/Human Resource Manager. The role supports the General Manager in daily payroll and HR tasks and is 100% on-site. The position emphasizes safety and customer service.

Key duties include payroll calculation, new-hire processing, recruiting, and benefits education, with a comprehensive benefits package and salary range from $80,000 to $100,000.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience.
• College coursework in a related field preferred.
• Computer-literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Process new employee files and submit paperwork for approval.
• Calculate and input payroll for drivers and staff.
• Track attendance for part-time employees.
• Handle fare reconciliation and deposits.
• Assist in tracking and reducing overtime.
• Full-cycle recruiting: review applications, schedule interviews, and hire candidates.
• Create and maintain employee files and onboarding paperwork.
• Manage payroll, leaves of absence, and FMLA tracking.
• Educate employees on benefits.
• Ensure compliance with background checks, drug screens, and E-Verify.
