Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and in accordance with company policies and payroll deadlines.
• Review, audit, and enter employee timekeeping records, attendance, overtime, vacation, sick leave, and other payroll-related data.
• Maintain employee payroll records and personnel files while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements.
• Process new hire, transfer, status change, and termination documentation and coordinate with Human Resources and Regional Payroll teams.
• Verify payroll calculations including earnings, deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings.
• Assist in tracking attendance and scheduling information for hourly and part-time employees.
• Support managers in monitoring overtime trends and identifying opportunities to reduce unnecessary labor costs.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with fare reconciliation, cash handling, deposits, and other accounting-related functions as required.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with FLSA, wage and hour regulations, union agreements (if applicable), and company payroll policies.
• Maintain payroll documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
• Provide administrative support to the General Manager and leadership team as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with payroll processing systems, Kronos, UKG, ADP, Paycom, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in unionized and/or transportation environments.
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour compliance, and labor agreements.

Additional Requirements

• Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee information.
• Subject to a DOT drug test and physical if applicable.
• DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Frequently required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Regular use of a computer, keyboard, calculator, and other standard office equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
• Work environment may consist of both office and operational settings, including indoor and outdoor areas.
