Job summary

TaxRise is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to own onboarding, system access, and employee lifecycle tasks in Paylocity. The role is 100% on-site in Irvine, CA, collaborating with IT and HR teams to ensure accurate data and smooth processes.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in HR/People Ops and strong organizational, communication, and confidential data handling skills. Benefit offerings and a supportive team culture are part of the package.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of HR or People Operations experience.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity strongly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Discretion and judgment handling confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Own the new hire onboarding process end to end in Paylocity, from offer acceptance through Day 1 readiness.
• Coordinate system access setup with IT and track completion across onboarding checklists.
• Serve as the primary contact for new hires during pre-boarding, answering questions and resolving issues in real time.
• Process Employee Change of Status Forms and maintain data accuracy across Paylocity.
• Audit HRIS/employee files and compliance records to identify discrepancies.
• Manage the HR inbox as a first point of triage and route complex issues to the appropriate partner.
• Support leave of absence administration and coordinate return-to-work logistics.
• Lead offboarding activities, including paperwork, access removal, and equipment recovery.
