Job summary

MSI Security in Bloomington, IN, seeks a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced, field-based environment. Armed with strong communication and confidentiality, you will shape the culture and ensure consistent HR service across sites.

You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and compliance with federal and Indiana laws, while partnering with leadership to drive growth

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of progressive HR experience in a service-based or high-volume workforce.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field; SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Indiana labor laws, wage/hour compliance.
• Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
• Experience supporting distributed or multi-site workforce.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data management, and reporting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with discretion.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or similar industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and training.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies supporting growth and operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage/hour regulations and OSHA.
• Partner with operations leadership to support workforce and succession planning, and retention initiatives.
• Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and performance management; lead investigations.
• Oversee benefits administration, workers’ compensation and unemployment claims, and payroll coordination.
• Own internal HR communications, including company-wide messaging and HR Help Desk operations.
• Analyze HR metrics and trends to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
