Job summary

OTHON Engineering is seeking a part-time HR Intern/Coordinator at our Houston, TX office. The role reports to the HR Manager and focuses on day-to-day HR operations, recruiting support, onboarding, and records management.

The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, with strong organizational and communication skills, confidentiality, and comfort working with staff at all levels. This position is 100% on-site.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in HR or a related field.
• SHRM/PHR certification encouraged where possible.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting activities, including job postings and scheduling interviews.
• Support onboarding and completion of required employment documentation.
• Maintain employee files, HR records, and HRIS information accurately.
• Assist with benefits documentation and payroll-related changes.
• Support annual performance reviews and employee communications.
• Prepare HR letters, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
• Assist with HR compliance documentation and employee engagement activities.
