Job summary

Skjodt-Barrett, a leading food-solutions manufacturer in North America, is seeking an HR Generalist to support both manufacturing operations and corporate teams in Lebanon, Indiana. You will drive onboarding, employee relations, and talent development, ensuring HR policies are consistently applied and compliant.

You will partner with leaders and our recruitment provider to manage hiring, performance management, and training, shaping a high-performance culture and positive employee experience

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR Generalist, ideally in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, programs, and employment law.
• Experience handling employee relations with professionalism and discretion.
• Familiarity with performance management, career development, and succession planning.
• Coaching managers and delivering targeted training.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR advisor to employees and leaders across the organization.
• Guide managers through employee relations matters, investigations, policy interpretation, and documentation.
• Support workforce planning, performance reviews, calibrations, and coaching conversations.
• Partner with internal leaders and recruitment provider to coordinate hiring activities and onboarding.
• Help with HR initiatives, surveys, and process mapping to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Lead onboarding and orientation for new hires and manage exit surveys and findings.
