Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our Seabrook, NJ site to support HR functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This on-site role includes payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and HR policy support.

The candidate will partner with the Talent Management Director to craft job descriptions and coordinate HR transactions, while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. A bachelor’s in HR and 1+ year of HR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related curriculum; minimum one year of HR experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Functional HR skills including recruitment and working knowledge of HRIS and HR software.
• Working knowledge of HR laws and policies, including employment law, disability and benefits programs.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports HR recruitment efforts for corporate office: advertising, sourcing, evaluating applicants, and interviewing; conducts onboarding for new employees.
• Assists with payroll and time/attendance; familiarity with UKG and ADP is a plus.
• Provides administrative HR support including policy clarification and issue resolution.
• Identifies root causes of employee concerns and drives long-term solutions.
• Collaborates with the Director of Talent Management to develop job descriptions.
• Coordinates day-to-day HR transactional activities and unemployment claims processes.
• Supports development/implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties; accommodates employees as needed.
