Job summary

Aero Industries, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking an HR Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, leave administration, compliance, training, and HR operations on-site.

This role partners with supervisors and leaders to address employee concerns, reinforce HR policies, support staffing needs, and ensure consistent application of programs across the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant HR experience may be considered.
• 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments.
• Experience supporting employee relations, investigations, corrective action, and policy interpretation.
• Experience with full-cycle recruiting, candidate screening, interviewing, offers, onboarding.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR practices (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO).
• Ability to coach supervisors and managers; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HRIS/payroll platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned departments, covering employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and HR operations.
• Address employee concerns, conduct workplace investigations, and partner with leadership to resolve relations matters.
• Coach supervisors on attendance, performance, corrective action, and policy interpretation.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including onboarding.
• Coordinate onboarding and lifecycle changes, including transfers and promotions.
• Support attendance programs and leave administration (FMLA, ADA) and assist with safety initiatives.
• Track HR metrics such as turnover, time-to-fill, and headcount.
