Job summary

Skyline Furniture is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations at our Thornton, IL facilities. You will partner with the Director of HR to administer HR programs, ensure compliance, assist with onboarding, benefits, and training initiatives.

You will serve as a first point of contact for employees, help address concerns, and support recruitment and payroll processes while reinforcing Skyline’s culture and values.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaker preferred.
• Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and benefits administration.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Effective written and verbal communication with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support HR operations and compliance with Federal, State, and local laws.
• Assist with employee records, forms, COBRA, workers’ compensation, and onboarding.
• Support benefits administration and payroll-related deductions and reporting.
• Coordinate training programs and HR communications.
• Assist with recruitment, postings, interviews, and onboarding logistics.
