Job summary

Hermanson Company in Lancaster, PA is seeking an HR Coordinator to support the Human Resources department and on-site construction project. This hands-on role covers onboarding, HR systems, employee relations and general HR support for project leaders in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidate brings a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and at least two years of HR/Admin experience; SHRM-CP or HRCI is a plus. The site operates in a union and non-union setting with field presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; 2+ years HR/admin experience preferred.
• Background checks, I-9 processing and onboarding experience.
• Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of union workforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new hires, process paperwork, I-9s and background checks.
• Create and maintain employee files; verify and update records.
• Support on-site project leaders with HR-related tasks.
• Assist with interview scheduling and offer letters as needed.
• Handle terminations and conduct exit interviews.
