Job summary

Hermanson Company in Richmond, VA is seeking an HR Coordinator to support the on-site construction project. This hands-on role covers onboarding, HR systems, employee relations, and site HR support for leaders on a large, fast-paced project.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and at least two years of HR/Admin experience; SHRM-CP or HRCI credential is a plus. Competitive benefits and a salary range of $55,000–$65,000 are offered.

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
• At least two years related HR or Admin experience required.
• SHRM-CP or HRCI credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical & customer service functions for the HR department & project site leadership.
• Assists HR Generalists with new hire onboarding, including processing new hire paperwork, I-9s completion.
• Processes new hire background checks & drug screens.
• Creating & maintaining employee files.
• Maintains & updates EEO data spreadsheets.
• Performs verifications of employment.
• Processes terminations & conducts exit interviews.
• Assists with scheduling interviews & drafting offer letters, as needed.
