Job summary

Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, NM seeks a temporary Personal Computer Technician to support the Information Systems department. This full-time, day-shift role runs through the end of February 2027 and requires up to 40 hours per week on 8-hour shifts.

The technician will install, troubleshoot, and repair hardware, software, and network systems onsite, assist with asset moves, secure devices, and provide high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications or related field preferred.
• Certification in CET preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience with hospital information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports IT hardware including desktops, laptops, thin clients, mobile devices, printers and scanners.
• Installs and maintains hospital IT systems and networking equipment.
• Assists with troubleshooting software and network-based issues.
• Moves IS assets and coordinates equipment moves with other service departments as needed.
• Ensures information security by securely disposing of devices with local hard drives.
• Provides service through remote control software for licensed equipment and uses alternative remote control solutions for non-organizational assets.
• Maintains high-quality customer service and supports other duties as assigned.
