Job summary

Hills Machinery in the United States is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site service and repair for heavy equipment including wheel loaders, excavators, bulldozers, crushers, screeners, pavers, rollers, skid steers, and backhoe loaders. You will diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems to keep customers' machines operating at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician in heavy equipment.
• Strong diagnostic skills in electrical, hydraulic and powertrain systems.
• Knowledge of Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Bulldozers, Crushers, Screeners, Pavers, Rollers, Skid Steer Loaders, Backhoe Loaders.
• Ability to perform repairs on major equipment systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment.
• Repair and replace faulty components in electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal condition.
• Maintain accurate service records including parts used and time spent.
• Communicate effectively with customers about status and needs.
• Collaborate with service team to complete work orders efficiently.
