Job summary

Hills Machinery is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site service and repair for a range of heavy equipment, including wheel loaders, excavators, crushers, and more. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues to keep customer equipment operating at peak performance.

You will perform routine maintenance, replace faulty components, and document service activities. Travel to customer sites as needed and collaborate with the service team to ensure timely completion

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in heavy equipment is required.
• Strong diagnostic skills in electrical, hydraulic and powertrain systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities are essential.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment.
• Utilize knowledge of equipment operations to identify issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections for optimal condition.
• Repair and replace faulty components in major systems.
• Maintain accurate service records including parts used and time spent.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating status and needs.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely work order completion.
