Responsibilities

• Performs clerical and receptionist duties.
• Notifies physicians of routine visits due, coordinates appointments with resident representative.
• Coordinates transportation for appointments.
• Completes referrals for appointments.
• Ensures telephone is answered timely and directed for follow-up.
• Orders labs and x-rays; checks fax machines for incoming documents.
• Assembles resident charts for admission, discharge, and hospital return.
• Transcribes MD/NP orders and enters into electronic health records.
• Maintains charts, monitors supplies, and assists with nursing supply functions.
• Participates in audits or surveys to measure quality care and service.
