Job summary

Tufts Medical Center is seeking a Guest Service Representative for the Neely House, a short-term residence for cancer patients and families receiving treatment. The role is per diem, requiring at least one weekend per month (Friday 3 pm – Sunday 3 pm, 48-hour shift) with on-site housing during the shift.

The position emphasizes patient navigation, exceptional service, and accurate data entry while coordinating with hospital departments to ensure smooth referrals and uninterrupted information

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service or call center experience required.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers with courtesy, providing excellent service and resolving issues related to housekeeping, transport, or food service.
• Answer requests and coordinate with area staff, supervisors, or patient advocacy to resolve issues.
• Answer calls in the call center and dispatch to appropriate staff; follow up as needed.
• Receive and route messages according to policy to the right personnel.
• Monitor phone, fax, and mail inquiries and direct to appropriate staff.
• Assist with billing/disputes and information requests as per protocol.
• May handle billing data and payments via hospital system.
• Support patient registration data collection and accuracy.
• Assist with refunds and transfers per procedure.
