Job summary

Walter Surface Technologies seeks a Supply Chain Planner/Buyer for our Hermes Abrasives Virginia Beach facility. You will ensure timely replenishment of finished goods and raw materials, coordinating with Logistics, Sales, and Production to optimize inventory and costs.

The role partners with Logistics, Customer Service, and R&D to implement D365 ERP and Logility planning tools, tracking OTIF and optimizing replenishment loads across global networks.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, interpret, and analyze data using Excel, ERP/planning systems, and related tools.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with demand and inventory planners to adjust Logility suggested order quantities.
• Issue purchase orders of finished goods and raw materials to minimize backorders.
• Maintain master data and ensure timely ERP updates to minimize disruptions in material flow.
