Job summary

HighRes is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our Beverly manufacturing team. You will purchase raw materials, components, and production supplies, leveraging MRP data to optimize inventory and supplier performance.

You will collaborate with Production Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to resolve shortages and ensure on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in a related field, 3+ years in manufacturing purchasing, strong ERP/MRP experience, and advanced Excel

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent).
3+ years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of MRP planning, inventory control, and production scheduling.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems in manufacturing.
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and data analysis.
Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute purchasing activities to support production schedules and customer demand.
Utilize MRP recommendations to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Issue purchase orders and monitor supplier acknowledgments for on-time deliveries.
Analyze inventory trends, demand forecasts, and supplier performance using ERP data.
Collaborate with Production Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to resolve shortages.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Maintain accurate supplier, item, pricing, and lead-time data in ERP.
