Job summary

Tidal Vision is seeking a Planner/Buyer in Bellingham, WA to plan, schedule, and purchase materials for manufacturing. You will coordinate production schedules, nurture supplier relationships, and manage inventory and logistics to meet customer demand while controlling costs.

Responsibilities span production planning, purchasing, inventory management, and freight coordination. 3–5 years of related experience and ERP/MRP proficiency are preferred; NetSuite is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in material planning, production planning, purchasing, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; NetSuite preferred.
• Knowledge of production planning, inventory control, purchasing and supply chain principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand, forecasts and capacity.
• Review requirements to ensure materials and resources are available to meet delivery commitments.
• Monitor performance and adjust schedules to changing priorities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and quality to resolve constraints.
• Balance inventory levels while supporting service objectives and efficiency.
• Plan and purchase raw materials, components, and indirect materials for production.
• Issue purchase orders and manage supplier delivery schedules.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and supplier agreements for cost savings.
• Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery and responsiveness.
• Maintain supplier relationships and qualify alternate suppliers to mitigate risk.
• Monitor inventory levels and stocking strategies; lead cycle counts.
• Maintain planning data, BOMs, lead times and item master in ERP.
• Establish safety stock levels to support production needs.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments; manage inbound/outbound freight.
• Work with carriers and brokers to ensure timely shipments; review shipping docs.
• Track shipments and resolve transportation issues; identify savings opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs and generate reports; participate in S&OP activities.
