Job summary

TC Energy Corp. is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support our US Gas Operations in Kansas, especially in the Meade area.

The role focuses on maintaining and servicing high‑pressure natural gas pipeline equipment, reciprocating engines, compressors, pumps and regulators. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in mechanical roles with internal combustion engines, a strong troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in oil and gas industry preferred.
• Able to describe operation of a 4-cycle combustion engine.
• Minimum 3 years mechanical experience with internal combustion engines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, operate and maintain gas-fired reciprocating engines and compressors.
• Operate and support equipment including pumps, boilers, turbines and generators.
• Maintain and repair pipelines and valves.
• Inspect and service regulators, relief valves and related systems.
• Plan, coordinate and perform mechanical maintenance, preventive and major projects.
• Complete work orders in SAP and document activities.
