Job summary

TC Energy seeks a multiskilled Mechanical Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and operate natural gas compressor stations and related equipment in our Heartland-Rock River Valley area. The role requires strong problem-solving and self-starting capabilities.

You will work with minimal supervision, joining a safety-focused team, and may be assigned to rotate on-call schedules, extended hours, and occasional travel for temporary assignments, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in gas engines, compressors, and automated control equipment.
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures and safe work practices.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel for reporting and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, overhaul, and repair of compressor station equipment, including dismantling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling parts.
• Compile information for reports and forms; work from blueprints and drawings.
• Inspect for gas leaks and maintain safety equipment; test and adjust equipment for proper operation.
