Job summary

TC Energy in Kansas seeks a Mechanical Technician to support the operation and maintenance of natural gas pipelines and related facilities in Meade and surrounding areas. The role involves hands-on work with high-pressure gas systems, engines, compressors, valves and storage facilities to ensure safety and reliability.

The position requires troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, SAP data entry, and coordination of projects.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years mechanical experience with internal combustion engines.
Experience maintaining turbine engines (preferred).
Knowledge of cathodic protection systems.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications related to cathodic protection.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, operate and maintain gas-fired reciprocating engines, gas compressors, standby generator engines, pumps, boilers and other equipment.
Inspect, repair and set regulators and relief valves.
Plan and perform mechanical maintenance activities and major projects.
Enter data into SAP work orders and complete related documentation.
Occasional travel to other company locations for temporary assignments.
