Job summary

Ally First Accounting in Greater Hartford is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the complete accounting cycle, post transactions, maintain the general ledger, and produce timely financial reports.

You will handle accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payroll entries and payroll tax filings, support month-end and year-end closes, and work closely with leadership on financial insights for fractional CFO services.

Qualifications

• Managing the full general ledger and accounting cycle.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Recording and reviewing journal entries, including adjustments and reconciliations.
• Understanding payroll taxes and related compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable; post journal entries; reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and support month-end and year-end closes.
