Job summary

SkyChefs operates a Dallas-based, on-site transportation operation that runs 24/7 to support airline meals delivery. The Transportation Supervisor will lead a 20+ member team, coordinating drivers, routes, and schedules to ensure on-time departures while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires a strong focus on leadership, process discipline, and collaboration with internal partners to deliver reliable service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in transportation or logistics supervision.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
• Experience with routing software and TMS.
• CDL license or experience managing CDL drivers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the area is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are being met timely.
• Schedule and control staff to meet labour productivity and overtime targets.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP and other regulatory standards.
• Document and follow up on department processes to implement improvements.
• Monitor on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights.

Role Purpose Statement

We are growing our Dallas transportation operation and looking for motivated Transportation Supervisors to join our leadership team near the Dallas/Ft Worth International Airport.This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a 24/7 operation that supports the airline industry, where safety, teamwork, and reliability matter every day. The Transportation Supervisor leads a team of 20+ transportation team members responsible for ensuring all flights receive the right product, at the right time, every time. This role oversees daily transportation operations in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive airline environment, with a strong focus on safety, execution, and service reliability. The Transportation Supervisor is accountable for coordinating drivers, routes, and schedules to support on‑time departures while maintaining full compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.

This is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, engaging with teams, and solving real‑time operational challenges. The ideal candidate thrives in a production environment, actively monitors performance and safety, and leads by example to foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. By working closely with internal partners and frontline employees, the Transportation Supervisor plays a critical role in delivering consistent, high‑quality service to our airline customers.

Schedules: We service the airline industry and operate 24/7. We are hiring for evening and overnight shifts.

Main Accountabilities

• Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are being met timely
• Schedule and control staff to meet labour productivity and overtime targets
• Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies standards (example: Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), etc.)
• Document and follow up on all department processes in order to implement improvements
• Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Other duties as deemed necessary

Leadership

• Guide, motivate and develop staff within the Human Resources policies
• Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s)
• Manage productivity hours and costs in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
• Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety & Production systems

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in transportation or logistics supervision.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
• Experience with routing software and transportation management systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs.
• CDL license or experience managing CDL drivers.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles a plus
