Robinson Helicopter Company seeks an experienced Technical Support Representative to serve on-site with the U.S. Army Flight School Next program at Fort Rucker, AL.

You will embed with the M1 Team to troubleshoot, guide airworthiness, and liaise with RHC engineering to keep the FSN fleet mission-ready. Ideal candidates have A&P credentials, 10+ years in rotorcraft maintenance, and Robinson helicopter experience, with DoD customer exposure and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratings.
  • 10+ years of aircraft maintenance, technical support, or field service experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience maintaining Robinson helicopters strongly preferred.
  • Current or previous Inspection Authorization (IA) or foreign equivalent preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, aviation maintenance, or related field a plus; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot airframe, powerplant, and integrated aircraft systems.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Federal Government, or Aerospace customers preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work with customer maintenance teams.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams in hangar/flight line environments.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Jira, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and risk management skills.
  • Must be able to work onsite at Fort Rucker, with standard hours and potential overtime.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and possess current passport.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical support to FSN maintenance personnel for scheduled and unscheduled FSN fleet work.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose airframe, powerplant, and systems discrepancies to return aircraft to service.
  • Provide airworthiness and maintenance guidance per RHC data and regulations.
  • Escalate complex issues to Site Manager, Engineering, and Product support teams.
  • Serve as the on-site technical contact for FSN maintenance.
  • Support rapid resolution of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Ensure aircraft remain serviceable to meet flight training schedules.
  • Support maintenance readiness reviews and fleet health assessments.
  • Advise on inspection findings, service bulletins, and mandatory maintenance actions.
  • Recommend operational or maintenance changes to improve reliability and safety.
  • Coordinate with Fleet Sustainment & Spares on parts.
  • Monitor recurring discrepancies and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure maintenance actions are documented per requirements.
  • Record incidents, resolutions, and corrective actions in RHC systems.
  • Prepare technical reports and status briefings for Site Manager.
  • Support configuration management, airworthiness records, and compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job mentoring to M1 Team personnel.
  • Develop and deliver technical instruction and reference materials.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations and workshops as needed.
  • Coordinate with engineering, product support, supply chain, and Site Manager.
  • Participate in technical reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
