Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Field Telecommunications Auditor for on-site work in Albuquerque, NM and surrounding areas.

You will conduct visual inspections and technical audits of utility poles, equipment attachments, and wiring, traveling to field sites to collect precise data. The role requires comfort working outdoors in all weather, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate handheld devices and GPS tools.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; prior utility pole auditing or field technician experience is a plus, but full training will be provided.
• Ability to work 100% outdoors in all types of weather (heat, rain, cold) and walk long distances over uneven outdoor terrain.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; comfortable operating company vehicles.
• Ability to learn and operate handheld technology and mobile software.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working solo or as part of a team in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Audit utility pole infrastructure by visually identifying, inspecting, and recording attachment heights, line configurations, and equipment details.
• Operate handheld computers, GPS, cameras, and mobile applications to record observations accurately.
• Use navigation tools in vehicle and on foot to reach sites and complete tasks.
• Coordinate with others on scheduling, hours, and field coverage when working in pairs.
• Communicate with property owners and local agencies to arrange access for field work.
• Follow safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
• Travel 75%–100% of the time for on-site field duties.
