Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller is seeking a Field Service Specialist to support Cadence distribution with on-site valve/pump rebuilds and startup assistance. You will manage inventory, shipping/receiving, and equipment prep for shipment while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The role requires travel about 50% regionally and nationally, with weekend/holiday travel as needed. High school diploma or GED is required; an associate/technical diploma is a plus, and strong mechanical aptitude is

Qualifications

Experience using basic hand tools and torque wrenches, clamps, picks.
Strong mechanical aptitude; capable of safely disassembling and reassembling components.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions, manuals, and tool lists.
Experience with maintenance tasks including tear-downs and reassemblies.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver heavy items.
Demonstrated attention to quality, accuracy, and safety in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site valve and pump rebuilds for customer projects.
Support on-site services including homogenizers and heat exchangers as needed.
Receive, unpack, inspect, and verify shipment deliveries.
Match packing lists with received parts and purchase orders for accuracy.
Process inventory replenishment and store materials correctly.
Execute cycle counts and manage shipment requirements (LTL and truckload).
Prepare large equipment for shipment by crating and framing.
Process pick tickets and fulfill parts orders for internal and external customers.
Perform daily administrative tasks to support operations.
