Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Mechanic B in Pleasant Grove, CA to maintain and repair heavy equipment at customer sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure optimal operation on job sites, while building strong customer relationships and adhering to safety standards.

The role requires on-site work with a valid driver's license and on-call availability. Strong mechanical skills and the ability to read schematics are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical schematics, manuals and warnings.
• Own a sufficient set of hand and air/electric tools.
• Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, generators and hydraulics.
• On-call availability to support operations.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Herc owned fleet at customer sites.
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication, tire and hose replacements, and other services.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to keep it operational.
• Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic and propane systems.
• Produce service reports and repair logs.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas at job sites.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
