Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Field IT Support Technician to provide on-site, hands-on technical support at distribution centers.

You will help keep operations running smoothly, installing and maintaining desktops, laptops, RF devices, and wearables while delivering customer-focused service. This role requires 1–3 years of field IT experience, an associate or bachelor’s in IT or related field, and the ability to work on-site with occasional travel to nearby centers.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 1–3+ years of field IT support or desktop support experience
• Experience supporting hardware and software in warehouse/manufacturing/operational environments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience supporting desktops, laptops, RF devices, wearables, and peripherals
• Basic knowledge of servers, networking, and telecommunications equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in the field
• On-site work in distribution center environments
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in reading/writing English for job-related tasks

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, hands-on technical support within McLane Distribution Centers
• Support restaurant and retail operations with timely IT assistance
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, RF and wearable devices
• Support servers, network infrastructure, telecommunications, and related hardware
• Partner with operations teams to minimize downtime and resolve issues quickly
• Deliver excellent customer service in fast-paced environments
• Document issues, solutions, and equipment changes accurately
