Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Engineering Manager / Assistant Project Manager for a full-time, on-site assignment at a 1,200-MW combined-cycle power plant site in Lee County, Texas. You will act as the on-site liaison among Owner, EPC contractor, OEM, and engineering leads, driving timely coordination and field issue resolution through project completion in 2028.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• 10+ years of field engineering or project management experience.
• Experience with power generation projects, preferably combined cycle.
• On-site construction and commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of document control, RFIs, submittals, QA/QC, and turnover.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and maintain momentum.
• Strong communication, leadership, organization and issue-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-site engineering and project coordination resource.
• Coordinate technical reviews, engineering decisions, and drawing resolution.
• Support RFIs, clarifications, design questions, and field issues.
• Monitor activities for alignment with documents and requirements.
• Provide technical and project-management support for major interfaces.
