Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Engineering Manager / Assistant Project Manager for a new 1,200-MW combined cycle power plant in Lee County, Texas. This on-site role interfaces with Owner, EPC, OEM, and Engineer of Record through project completion in 2028.

Responsibilities include coordinating technical reviews, managing RFIs and submittals, and ensuring alignment with contract documents and design intent while leading cross-functional teams during active construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 10+ years of field engineering/project engineering management experience.
• Experience with on-site construction and commissioning phases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site engineering and project coordination resource.
• Coordinate technical reviews and drawing/comment resolution for project execution.
• Manage RFIs, technical clarifications, and field issues across disciplines.
• Monitor activities for alignment with contract documents and design intent.
• Provide PM support for Owner/EPC/OEM interfaces.
