Job summary

System One is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead on-site engineering and project coordination for a 1,200-MW combined cycle project in Lee County, TX. The role interfaces with Owner, EPC contractor, OEM, and discipline leads, driving timely engineering decisions and field issue resolution during construction.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and strong experience in power generation projects, with leadership, organization, and clear communication as key

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Strong power generation project experience, preferably with combined cycle power plant experience.
• Experience in field engineering, project engineering management, or construction support roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-site engineering and project coordination resource, interfacing daily with site leadership, engineering, construction, and key contractors.
• Coordinate and help expedite technical reviews, engineering decisions, and drawing/comment resolution to support project execution.
• Support management of RFIs, technical clarifications, design questions, and field issues across multiple disciplines, with emphasis on timely follow-up and closure.
• Monitor engineering and construction activities for alignment with contract documents, design intent, and project requirements.
• Provide technical and project-management support for major interfaces among the Owner, EPC Contractor, OEM, and discipline leads.
