Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a seasoned Commissioning Manager to lead field commissioning across diverse power-generation assets in the southeastern United States. The role blends on-site leadership, strategic oversight, and team collaboration to drive equipment testing, system integration, and operational handover.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in power plant commissioning, strong technical knowledge, and proven leadership, with flexibility to travel to various sites as required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in commissioning within power generation and leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of turbine, boiler, pumps and related systems.
• Proven commissioning methodologies, troubleshooting, and system integration skills.
• Familiarity with power plant electrical operations codes & safety standards.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel across various US locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commissioning engineers and technicians on multiple projects.
• Oversee testing, troubleshooting, and integration to ensure smooth plant startup and handover.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and safety for project plans and timelines.
• Develop and enforce commissioning protocols and safety procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and drive optimization during commissioning.
• Maintain detailed records for reporting, validation, and continuous improvement.
