Job summary

LifePath, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant in Bethlehem, PA. This on-site role supports the upkeep, safety and functionality of facilities and equipment, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, responding to requests, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring areas are clean, safe, and compliant. Strong communication and a valid driver’s license are needed for local travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform building maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Skills in equipment maintenance and general maintenance for facility systems and tools.
• Experience with preventive maintenance routines, inspections, and documentation.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff, residents, vendors, and supervisors.
• Basic understanding of safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift moderate weights, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
• Reliable time management, attention to detail, and the ability to follow work orders and organizational procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior maintenance or facilities experience in residential or human services settings is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between local program sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support upkeep, safety and functionality of LifePath facilities and equipment.
• Assist with building repairs, minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
• Support preventive maintenance schedules and routine inspections.
• Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Ensure common areas, resident spaces and program sites are clean, safe and compliant with standards.
