Job summary

Community LIFE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and episodic maintenance across several sites. This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with hours from 7am to 3:30pm, with flexibility for longer hours or weekends based on need.

Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing tasks and some furniture/equipment relocations. Requires trade school training, at least one year in maintenance, and a PA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance trades.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Must be able to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Broad based knowledge of building codes.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Ability to accept and utilize supervision to maintain high standards of quality.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong team building and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and episodic maintenance, service and repair in mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing across multiple sites.
• Occasional installations or relocation of furniture, equipment and decorative items.
• Provide home repairs for participants as authorized by Community LIFE Interdisciplinary Teams.
• Be knowledgeable in procedures and safety measures in the above areas.
