Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking Facility Maintenance Technicians to inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring a high-quality guest experience. On-site roles can be filled as full-time benefits-eligible employees or part-time seasonal positions, with specialization in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC being a plus and a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial and industrial maintenance.
• Additional experience in a specialized trade – e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
• Proficiency in working with a variety of basic/specialized hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of building equipment, building codes, and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret documents with strong attention to detail; safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, and repair all features of a public facility that operates year-round with high levels of traffic and extensive operating hours.
• Effectively manage a dynamic task list and preventative maintenance schedule.
• Operate vehicles, tractors, and other heavy equipment.
• Assist with building, construction, and improvement projects in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, woodworking, and housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.
