Job summary

Katmai Government Services in Tampa, FL, seeks a skilled supervisor responsible for operations and maintenance of complex building systems, including HVAC, dehumidification, air-conditioning, ventilation, and controls. You will oversee service calls, preventive maintenance, and coordination with technicians and vendors.

Required are EPA Universal Certification, 3+ years supervising facilities, and 6+ years in HVAC maintenance, plus NATE certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years supervising operation and maintenance of complex facilities or building systems.
• 6+ years in commercial HVAC maintenance.
• 3+ years as a team lead/supervisor.
• High-level knowledge of HVAC systems including chilled water and building automation.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Universal EPA Certification.
• NATE Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Fluent English (reading/writing/speaking).
• Ability to obtain required security access/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for building maintenance issues and manage customer expectations.
• Perform, supervise, and inspect maintenance and repairs including HVAC, building automation, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
• Serve as the principal repair technician for critical/complicated failures.
• Communicate service details with customers and manage concerns.
• Supervise on-site and off-site technicians, vendors and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain schedules and performance standards.
• Maintain the computerized maintenance management system.
• Report to higher management and coordinate with clients and contractor staff.
