Job summary

Tessera is seeking a reliable General Maintenance Worker for Fort Riley, KS. The position is full-time, day shift, non-exempt, with an hourly compensation of $20.41. Benefits are included as part of a comprehensive package for eligible employees.

Typical duties include assisting skilled trades, maintaining facilities and equipment, and ensuring quality work while adhering to safety procedures. A valid driver’s license and security clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Must respond to customer inquiries or complaints professionally.
• Must be able to work in and contribute to a team.
• 1 year of general maintenance/construction experience preferred.
• Able to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, sometimes in adverse weather.
• Able to work in various environments including high places.
• Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and balance.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled workers in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or masonry tasks.
• Maintain building, grounds, and equipment.
• Communicate with customer and supervisors about repairs and needs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure completed work meets quality standards.
• Diagnose issues and propose repairs to customers and supervisors.
• Update scheduler on repair status and material needs.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies.
