Job summary

Valley Hope of Atchison, located just northwest of Kansas City, seeks a Facility Maintenance Technician I for a Monday–Friday, on-site role. This position supports the care facility by maintaining building, plant and equipment, and performing routine maintenance and safety checks.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of and some experience in maintenance skills.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• CPR certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain building, plant and equipment.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of building/plant equipment.
• Performs scheduled maintenance and repairs on building/plant equipment.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Performs plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Remodels/maintains patient rooms, office space and common areas as directed.
• Maintains and repairs facility grounds including yard maintenance and snow removal.
• Maintains records of electrical equipment and safety incidents.
