Job summary

Valley Hope Addiction Treatment & Recovery in Norton, KS seeks a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. This full-time position supports live-in residential and outpatient treatment facilities with a strong focus on building/plant maintenance and safety.

Role includes supervising maintenance staff, scheduling work, and managing equipment, with opportunities to contribute to capital projects and safety programs within our respected organization.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as a maintenance technician including mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and routine facility maintenance.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; specialized training in mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and routine facility maintenance; two (2) years as maintenance technician team lead preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain building/plant and equipment.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of building/plant equipment.
• Performs scheduled maintenance and repairs on building/plant equipment.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Performs plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Remodels/maintains patient rooms, office space and common areas as directed.
• Uses hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
• Maintains and repairs facility grounds including yard maintenance and snow removal.
• Maintains records of electrical equipment and safety inspections; provides documentation to leadership or regulatory bodies.
• Transports patients as assigned by supervisor.
• Stores paints and flammable materials per safety rules.
• Maintains safe, clean work areas and vehicles; adheres to safety regulations.

Valid driver's license

CPR certification

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Specialized training in maintenance areas

Maintenance team lead experience (preferred)
